Since she was young, Kristen has always enjoyed two things: helping people and solving puzzles. Why couldn’t these interests translate into a future career? Kristen serves as a director at RETS, where she takes great joy in getting to know industry professionals and bringing them together through her recruiting efforts. Prior to joining RETS, Kristen served as a managing director for a real estate investment management firm; previously she served as vice president for a global provider of strategic business and technology services for the real estate finance industry, providing talent solutions to top Wall Street investment banks and private equity firms.
Focus: Positions covering commercial real estate investment, debt and residential real estate development
A quote from Amelia Earhart serves as a constant source of inspiration for Kristen: “The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” Kristen takes this quote very much to heart, both professionally and personally. Kristen’s father is her hero and one of the most influential people in her life: growing up in the Midwest, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and survived three tours of duty as a pilot in Vietnam, later teaching Kristen to fly. Family is of utmost importance to Kristen, and outside the office she can be found spending time with her husband and son at the beach or trying out a new restaurant. As for puzzles, Kristen’s dining room table is frequently covered by them, providing a great excuse to go out.
